Frequently asked questions
Here are some frequently asked questions. Any further questions, please feel free to contact us.
New to Reformer Pilates? What should I book first?
It’s essential to book in for a Free 30 minute Orientation before you attend your first Beginners Reformer class.
In the 30 minute free orientation we will show you how to set up the Reformer. You will learn how to adjust the pulleys and straps and to practice some of the basic exercises in preparation for your first Beginners Reformer class.
Everyone must attend an orientation even if you have a good base level of fitness. Learning how to use the Reformer in the orientation is essential for your safety and ensures you can confidently join a class.
You can book in for a free session online via the timetable page.
What do I need to wear?
How does the waiting list work?
When a class is fully booked you have the option of joining the waiting list. If a space in the class becomes available then you will be notified via email.
Class places are assigned on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Is there an expiry date for the 10 Class Pass?
The 10 Class Pass is a cost effective way to attend classes on a regular basis. The price package works out as £14 per class – a saving of £10 over 10 sessions.
Please be aware that the ’10 Class Pass’ has an expiry date of 3 months from the date of purchase.
All 10 classes need to be taken with the 3 month period. If you’re not sure about fitting 10 classes within a 3 month period then stick to the drop-in price of £15 per visit.
If you cancel your class outside of the 24 hour cancellation policy then your a class credit will be returned to your 10 Class Pass.
What is the cancellation policy?
At Sea Breeze Pilates we like to keep things simple so we operate a firm but fair 24 hour cancellation policy.
Any class or private session that is cancelled or rescheduled within the 24 hour cancellation period will be charged as if you had attended.
If you know you cannot attend a class please cancel in good time using the online booking platform.
Private 1-1 session cancellations need to put in writing in email form.
Payments for sessions, passes, classes, workshops, programmes, products, retail and gift vouchers in any amount are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
Clients that book online must be in attendance at least 5 minutes prior to the class start time. Failure to do this may result in the client not being admitted into the class or the place may be given away.
Teachers occasionally change at short notice; no refunds or exchanges will be given if there is a cover teacher, and the 24-hour cancellation rule still applies.
If you cancel your class outside of the 24 hour policy period then a class credit will be returned to your profile for you to use on a future booking.
What if I’m recovering from an injury?
What classes can I do if I’m pregnant?
At the moment we do not have a regular Pregnancy Pilates class on our schedule however we hope to start one in the future. Sign up for our newsletter to stay up to date with new classes.
If you are an existing client who regularly attends Reformer classes we are happy for you to continue with Beginners Reformer classes in the early stages. As your pregnancy progresses you will need to modify the exercises as too much time lying on your back after 16 weeks or any exercises lying on your stomach will be contraindicated.
If you want to continue with Beginners Reformer classes you will need a private session so that you know how to adapt the exercises so they are suitable for your stage of pregnancy.
We do also want to stress that every pregnancy is different and you need to listen to your body and your clinician’s advice.
